Personal data that may be processed
Globe Protocol may process your personal data because you use Globe Protocol services such as AnyID and/or because you provide it to Globe Protocol yourself when completing a form on the website or because we are in contact with you because you provide products or services to us. Globe Protocol may process the following personal data:
- Your e-mail address
- name and address details
- Phone number
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Nationality
- Preferences indicated by you (e.g. your hobbies, favourite sport, festival or drink)
- Your IP address
Implementing the concluded agreement
Globe Protocol may use your personal data in the execution of an order agreement entered into with you. For example, displaying available discount coupons within AnyID
Contact after contact request
Globe Protocol processes your personal data to contact you electronically if you so request.
To share your personal data at your request
When you create an AnyID account with us, we process your personal data and you can decide with whom (e.g. a web shop) you want to share your personal data.
Optimise, improve and secure the functioning of the website
The Globe Protocol website records general visitor data, including your computer's IP address, the time of retrieval and data sent by your browser. This data is used for analyses of visit and click behaviour on the website, for securing
of our website and for the proper functioning of our website and associated plugins or web applications. Globe Protocol uses this information to optimise, improve and secure the operation of the website. Globe Protocol may share this data with third parties or third-party applications such as Google Analytics.
Functional cookies
We use functional cookies, which are necessary for the proper functioning of our site. Cookies are files, stored on your computer, to distinguish users or store items in a shopping basket, for example. These cookies can be deleted from the computer at any time via the browser settings.
Use other plugin scripts and web fonts
Our website uses JavaScript code for the proper functioning and display of our website. This may also come from an external party such as Google Webfonts, for example.
If you activate JavaScript in your browser and do not have a JavaScript blocker installed, your browser may forward personal data when a code is loaded by one of our suppliers. We do not know what data is linked to the received data and for what purposes it is used. You can prevent JavaScript code from being executed by installing a JavaScript blocker (e.g. www.noscript.net).
How long Globe Protocol retains data
Globe Protocol stores your personal data no longer than strictly necessary to fulfil the purposes for which your data is collected. In principle, your data will not be kept for longer than 26 months if no agreement with you is concluded, or after it is terminated, unless your personal data needs to be kept longer to comply with a statutory retention obligation. Personal data that have to be administered pursuant to Section 52 of the Algemene wet inzake rijksbelastingen (AWR) will be retained for 7 years (from the end of the year in which the relevant data have lost their current relevance for the (tax) conduct of business) in connection with the
tax retention obligations. Globe Protocol may retain your personal data for longer if necessary to safeguard our legitimate interests, such as for the settlement of incidents and/or legal disputes Cookies can be deleted by you in the browser settings at any time.
Sharing with third parties
Globe Protocol only provides your personal data to third parties if necessary for the performance of an agreement with you, to comply with a legal obligation, or to optimise, improve and secure the operation of our website or when you request us to share your personal data, e.g. through the use of AnyID. For example, we may share your personal data with web applications, suppliers and hosting providers necessary for the operation of our site and web functionalities, such as a chat function. We will handle your personal data with care including by aggregating or anonymising your personal data as much as possible and entering into a processor agreement with third-party processors. When you give permission through AnyID to share (certain) personal data with an organisation affiliated to AnyID, that organisation is independently responsible for the further processing of your personal data. We therefore recommend that you read the privacy statement/the
consult the relevant organisation's privacy statement if you want to know more about how your personal data is processed after you provide it to that organisation through AnyID.
We may transfer your personal data to a recipient in a country outside the European Economic Area that provides a lower level of protection of personal data than European legislation. In that case, we will ensure that such a transfer of personal data complies with the applicable laws and regulations, for example by concluding a model contract drawn up and approved for that purpose by the European Commission, and assess whether additional measures are still necessary to ensure an adequate level of protection of your personal data. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like to receive further information on the appropriate or suitable safeguards in place for the transfer of your personal data outside the European Economic Area or if you would like to receive a copy.
Your privacy rights
You have the following rights in respect of Globe's processing of your personal data
Protocol:
- the right to request whether Globe Protocol processes personal data about you and, if so, to access your personal data and certain information about the processing of your personal data;
- the right to rectification of your personal data if they are incorrect or incomplete;
- the right to have your personal data erased ('right to oblivion');
- the right to object to the processing of your personal data or to restrict the processing of your personal data;
- the right to withdraw consent to the processing of your personal data, if the processing is based on your consent;
- the right to receive or transfer your personal data to a third party designated by you in a structured, common and machine-readable form ('right to data portability').
Globe Protocol does not use automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 AVG.
You can view, amend and delete your personal data from your personal AnyID environment. To exercise your (other) rights, you can (also) contact us via the contact details listed at the bottom of this Privacy Statement. To avoid providing information to the wrong person, we may ask for additional information to verify your identity. In principle, we will inform you no later than one month after
receipt of your request whether we can comply with your request. This period may be extended by two months in specific cases, e.g. when the request is complex. We will inform you of any such extension no later than one month after receipt of your request. Under privacy legislation, Globe Protocol may refuse your request under certain circumstances. If this is the case, we will explain why. More information on your privacy rights can be found on the website of the Personal Data Authority.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about Globe Protocol's processing of your personal data, Globe Protocol will try to resolve it with you. If this does not lead to the desired result, you have the right to file a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In the Netherlands, this is the Personal Data Authority. If you live or work in another European Union country, you can complain to the regulator in that country.
Security
Globe Protocol takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification. Globe Protocol's website uses a reliable SSL Certificate in order to
safeguard your personal data.
